The 2019 OB Sailing Team returned to Cowes to defend the Arrow trophy they won last year over the weekend of the 12th & 13th October. This year they were knoocked off top spot, sadly losing to Winchester in the final, but a fantastic result all the same. The Arrow Trophy is a sailing competition between Independent Schools, raced as an annual weekend regatta, in one-design yachts crewed by former pupils. This year the team managed to bring onboard two "new" OBs, even though they were more "vintage" rather than from more recent generations.Skipper Archie Massey (D 90-95) collected the Arrow Trophy on behalf of the team for 2018 at the prizegiving (which was held at the 2019 Event Dinner).
The OB Sailing team are always looking for new members, so please do contact Archie Massey archiemassey@gmail.com if you are interested to hear more.
