Very best of luck from everyone in the Bradfield community to the OB Football team who play against the Old Carthusians on Saturday in the Arthur Dunn Cup, finally closing the extended season for the Arthurian League Premier Division.

Notes from the programme give some history about the game: Having been formed in 1884, the Old Bradfieldians were one of the founder sides of the Arthur Dunn Cup competition and are appearing in their seventh final, having lost on their previous 6 appearances in 1936, 1937, 1969, 1979, 2001 and 2007.

The Old Carthusians are appearing in their 36th Final, having won the Arthur Dunn Cup on 29 previous occasions. In recent times they were the winners in 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2019.

The only times the Bradfieldians and Carthusians have met in the Final were in 1936 and 2001, both of which were won by the Carthusians. They last met in the 2016 -17 season when the Carthusians were comfortable victors in the second round.

However, in a recent Arthurian League game on 23 Nov 2019 when the Old Bradfileldians last met at Charterhouse School, the OBs won 3-2.

We have our fingers tightly crossed and as the great Jurgen Klopp said last season "It's time to make our own history."

Please access the Bradfield College Twitter feed as we plan a live Twitter Broadcast of the game for those who want to hear the action in a Covid friendly way from 12:30 here. The commentary will be provided by current members of the SCR Trevor Kidson (an Old Carthusian) and OB Jonny Saunders (F 88-93) a former BBC sports presenter on Radio 2, sharing all the action.

Come on Old Bradfieldians!
