The National Theatre announced yesterday that Al Petrie (C 83-88) has been cast as Claudius in Robert Hastie’s darkly amusing reimagining of Hamlet running at the Lyttelton Theatre this Autumn. Al joins Olivier award winning Hiran Abeysekera (Life of Pi), playing the title role, as the uncle on whom Prince Hamlet seeks to exact revenge for the murder of his father.
