Dr Chris Stevens appointed as new Executive Head of Clifton College

An Update from the Warden

Dear All,

It was very good to see so many of you at this year’s Commemoration at the end of June. For those of you who were unable to attend, I hope that you may have had the opportunity to read my tribute to Dr Chris Stevens, who is leaving Bradfield after 10 years of dedicated service as Headmaster.

Clifton College Education Group (CCEG) has today announced that Chris has been appointed Executive Head of Clifton College and CCEG from September 2026. Until then Chris will be Director of Education for a leading Indian education provider that operates schools in and around Delhi. On behalf of the Bradfield community, I would like to congratulate Chris on both significant appointments.

Bradfield looks forward to welcoming Jeremy Quartermain to Bradfield next month. Jeremy is in the process of moving from Rossall in Lancashire, where he has successfully served as Headmaster for 7 years. Jeremy is looking forward to the challenge of leading Bradfield and to building upon Chris’s impressive legacy.

With my best wishes for the summer holidays.

Tom Beardmore-Gray

Warden, Bradfield College
