The Bradfield Club, started in 1912 by alumni of the College, is a youth Club in Peckham with 500 members aged 4 – 21. As a registered charity, it provides facilities for sports, education, music and mentoring, whilst also offering a refuge from the dangers of “the street” in a challenging part of London

Over the years, Club members and College pupils have enjoyed activities together and learnt from each other’s experience. Parents and pupils of the College are always welcome to visit the Club and we currently have two parent Trustees alongside Bradfield alumni and others.

The Club owns its own building on Commercial Road in Southwark. Built in the 1920s they are now looking to redevelop the premises with the assistance of developers and, in the meantime, need to ensure that the building is maintained in a suitable condition for its activities.

To date a committee member, who is a chartered surveyor with property management and development experience, has assisted the Club. He is soon to retire and we are looking for a successor.

The key requirement is for the person to understand the maintenance of buildings, in broad terms the regulatory framework applying to developments (not the minutia) and general building terminology.
