A very special Organ Recital

We invite you to join us on Sunday 8 December when we will be hosting former member of staff Colin Burgess (SCR 72-18) who will be performing a very special Organ Recital on our newly refurbished College Organ. Colin is known to many Old Bradfieldians, parents and Friends of Bradfield as he worked at Bradfield for 46 years. He probably knows the character of the instrument better than any other organist, having played it for so long and on so many occasions.

He is very much looking forward to sharing his repertoire of seasonal pieces including 'Pop looks Bach', 'Mr Mozart Takes a Sleigh Ride' and 'Penguins' Playtime'. When he rehearsed recently he commented: "I am hugely impressed with the Chapel Organ. It is much more balanced and versatile, and has a noticeably cleaner and clearer sound. The range of registration is almost what one would find in a Cathedral!"

We hope that you will agree and that you will join us to celebrate the rededication of the organ and hear it played again for both the Organ Recital at 4:30pm and during the Carols by Candlelight service which will follow at 5pm.

To book tickets for both events together, please do so on Ticketsource here
