Another brilliant year for Tempus Fugit with over sixty attendees over sixty returning to Bradfield to enjoy the College's hospitality, meet up with contemporaries, make new Bradfield connections and to hear about the Bradfield of today. The stories shared over drinks and dinner were as amusing as they heart-warming, indicative of the fond affection with which the attendees hold the College...
John Leggett (C 57-62) shared that whenever he stepped into the Main Dining Hall he is reminded of the stench of stewed cabbage, apparently large vats of the vegetables were served on a regular basis, the steam rising to the beautiful rafters, whilst the smell hung down by the tables. He was relieved that the hall not longer held that aroma and was delighted by the menu of fillet steak follow by chocolate torte, a demonstration of the brilliance of the College catering team.
Matt Chambers (C 76-81) reconnected with former best friend James Russell-Stracey (C 76-81) for the first time since leaving the College, over 40 years ago.
John Muir (G 70-75) and Tim Parker (G 72-77) chuckled in the delight of having performed in Tom Stoppard's 'Enter a Free Man' as the G House play together.

A huge thank you to Alastair Roy for most kindly gifted the College a couple of brilliant pictures painted by talented artiist Charles Fergusson (H 60-65)
Most venerable attendee Mike Akers (F 48-52) proved that older dogs can definitely learn new tricks by taking the opportunity to visit the Campus-XR exhibition and trying of the VR headsets, an experience that he found hugely enjoyable. The former BOAC pilot took to the tech like a duck to water, despite having self-deprecatingly declared himself to be a 'tech-duffer' and Campus-XR Business Development Lead Will Bray (H 14-19) took great pleasure in introducing this Bradfield grown technology with him.
The Head, Jeremy Quartermain, spoke with eloquence about the current state of the College; from the outstanding examination results, to the establishment of the Choral Foundation with renowned Chamber Choir Voces 8, to re-establishment of B House in the form of Bridge House, the new Day pupil House.
In addition to the convivial Drinks and Lunch hosted in the Main Dining Hall, some attendees chose to arrive early to attend a College tour. Participants enjoyed visiting refurbished boarding houses, the site of the new Health and Wellness Centre that is currently under-construction, in addition to the St Andrew's Study Centre, whilst appreciating the new Sixth Form Centre in the Gray Schools externally as the building's windows are being replaced. So much around the campus has changed but all were delighted to experience the same ethos, warmth and values which are the hall-mark of a Bradfield education.
