Obituaries

Bradfieldian Chris Cotterell from Army House (C 78-83) passed away peacefully following a battle with cancer, soon after his 60th birthday.  Chris was an active member of the Old Bradfieldian Association (Bradfield Society), keeping up contact with a number of his Bradfield contemporaries.  After leaving Bradfield, Chris went into the Insurance broking industry in The City of London.  He started his career at CT Bowring, before moving to Johnson and Higgins, which was acquired by Marsh.  He then set up a business called SafeonLine in 2006, which predicted the growth of internet purchases and the need for insurance around these.  He sold this business in 2020.

Chris was a very keen Sailor, Squash Player and Golfer and general bon viveur.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Sally and three wonderful children Amy, also an Old Bradfieldian (I 15-20), Josh and Darcy.
