The Headmaster Chris Stevens recently used the opportunity of being in Scotland for a Headmaster's conference to host a dinner at the New Club for Bradfieldians living, working and studying in and around Edinburgh. The Bradfield Society co-hosted the dinner with Al MacEwen also welcoming guests during the evening.

The event was attended by 16 special guests who were at Bradfield over a wide range of dates from Ian Bone (E 59-64) who left in 1964 right through to Alice Saunders (K 17-22) who left College this summer to study in Edinburgh. Other guests included Ian McKie (B 71-76), Ian Balfour (E 85-90), Jez Sinton (F 91-96) who runs the OB Fives team, Annabel Ross formerly King (I 91-93) and Freddie Cook (G 08-12) who is studying a post graduate course in Edinburgh. More recent students included Cat Talbot (K 15-20), Charlotte Lemstra (K 15-20), Samuel Raphael (H 15-20) Thomas Gilchrist (C 16-21), Jules Ferguson (E 16-21), Fergus McKendrick (A 16-21), Alex Ironside (M 17-19) and Florie Moir (K 19-21).

The group enjoyed traditional Scottish fare including: Cullen Skink (soup), Supreme of Chicken Balmoral with Haggis Stuffing and Cranachan Blairgowrie (similar to Eton Mess) for dessert!

The restaurant at the New Club features a picture window looking out towards Edinburgh Castle which guests were able to enjoy during the evening.

Ian Bone (E 59-64) said "it was heartwarming to meet OBs after so long, to be impressed by the students and to hear so much positivity about the school from the Headmaster and the other guests. It was a very memorable evening in a great venue."
