With a programme exploring the theme of Music in Crisis, we are thrilled to share that the Berkshire Chamber Music Festival brings you four outstanding evening concerts with international musicians in beautiful venues throughout Berkshire, including Bradfield College.
Wednesday 3rd November 19:00 at St Marys Church, Sulhamstead
Solo works by JS Bach to include music from the Violin Partitas and the Cello Suites.
A stunning, hour-long programme which explores the solo works of JS Bach, repertoire which became familiar to most musicians during the lockdowns of 2020 and 2021 performed by soloists Tim Lowe, Abby Bowen and Poppy Beddoe.

Messiaen - Quatuor pour la fin du temps
Written in 1940 whilst Messiaen was a prisoner in a German Prisoner of War camp this piece demonstrates the power of music to bring peace and comfort even in the most extreme of circumstances.
Friday 5th November 19:30 at St. Thomas' Church, Goring
Schumann – Fantasiestüke op.73

Saturday 6th November 19:30 at St. Mary's Church, Winkfield
Shostakovich - String Quartet no.8 in C Minor op.10
Brahms - Clarinet Quintet in B minor op.115
Two of the greatest chamber music works performed alongside one another. Both explore themes of mortality, love and chaos. Performed by world class professional musicians, this is a concert not to be missed.
