Sustainability Week

Living, working and behaving sustainably

At the close of Sustainability Week at the College we are supporting biodiversity and bringing House Promises and Targets together.

Examples of how we are supporting biodiversity include; pupils being involved in planting over 400 trees around the College, establishing an apiary at Bradfield to help improve plant pollination and reducing the use of single use plastic and buying locally sourced food across the College.

These are changing times for Bradfield, its suppliers and community and this week the College have explored the different ways in which we are improving sustainability.

Each boarding house and the pupils also have targets with a starting point of:

Reducing energy and water use by 10%, increasing recycling by 25%, minimising food waste and supporting biodiversity.

Below we share a wonderful film with Sir David Attenborough titled 'Why Biodiversity is important' which highlights why we must all focus to preserve it for the future.
