Who knew that Bradfield Football Club was originally called Bradfield Waifs Football Club?
We have been donated this fantastic example of a fixture card to add to our archive collection. The fixture card is for the Bradfield Waifs Football Club 1891-92 season. Measuring only 6cm x 9cm, the inside lists 9 fixtures in total against Forest School and Old Foresters at Snaresbrook, Park House Reading, Hoddesdon School at Broxbourne and Chiswick Park, Chiswick. Obviously the Football Club dropped the word Waifs at some later date, leaving just the Old Bradfieldian Cricket team to continue to be known as the Waifs.
