We are excited to share with you the launch video for Bradfield’s new Choral Foundation, a specialist programme for talented young singers in partnership with the VOCES8 Foundation @voces8foundation. Guided by Programme Advisor Stephen Darlington, former Director of Music at Christ Church, Oxford, and Associate Director Barnaby Smith, Grammy-nominated conductor, countertenor and Artistic Director of VOCES8, the Foundation will offer exceptional choral training within the breadth of a Bradfield education.

Our choristers have already begun to benefit from the partnership with the VOCES8 Foundation, taking part in an inspiring workshop with its professional musicians earlier this term.

The first cohort of 13+ and 16+ Choral Foundation Scholars will join in September 2027 and current Fifth Form pupils are invited to express interest in the 16+ awards to Director of Music, David Quinn. Foundationers will benefit from free individual singing lessons, regular rehearsals and services, cathedral visits, tours, Oxford and Cambridge residencies, opportunities to perform alongside professional musicians and participation in the VOCES8 Foundation’s Young Leaders Programme.
