Sunshine greeted us for our parent coffee morning today, streaming into the Pavilion, bringing a smile to our attendees and taking the edge off traffic delays on the M4. It was in this upbeat mood that Richard Penny, Deputy Head (Pastoral) spoke with parents about Health and Wellness at Bradfield and the benefits of co-locating our key provisions for medical, physical and mental health in the heart of the boarding area.
‘Our ambition for the new Health and Wellness Centre represents a transformative investment in student wellbeing. Creating a central hub for GP, nurses, physiotherapy and injury rehabilitation services and counsellors facilitates a holistic approach to physical health and mental resilience which will feed into academic success and wider community connection. We are creating a facility fit for the twenty-first century and beyond.’
It was fascinating to hear how thoughtfully the College has brought together this project and the potential that it brings for the pupil body and the education that Bradfield delivers.
