On 11 December 2025, Bradfieldian Henry Eastick (F 12-17) started in the World’s Toughest Row in his 7.32 metre rowing boat from La Gomera in the Canary Islands to row across the Atlantic. They arrived in English Harbour, Antigua on Friday 30 January 2026 (47 days, 1 hour and 28 days minutes after the race began). The race saw 44 crews row 3000 miles unsupported across the Atlantic and his two-man team comprised of Henry and crew mate Ben, known as the Ocean Oarsmen.
Henry said "In addition to the challenge of rowing 3000 miles, we’ll be raising money and awareness for the Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice. They’re heavily relied upon as the only Children’s Hospice in Berkshire but also serve neighbouring counties."
They posted regular updates while at sea for supporters and sponsors showing close encounters with a whale and container ship on their journey on Instagram
Congratulations to Henry and his rowing partner on a wonderful achievement for their chosen charity raising £39,278 so far.
