11 years ago, The Cost Reduction Company began which is run by OB Nigel Ward (G 71-76) when he started speaking to customers and listening to client needs with some common themes emerging:

• Everybody is busy
• Time is short
• Budgets are tight

Offering a range of services and a way of working to save time and money, there are three broad ways to save time and money through Tariff Reduction, Using Less Stuff and through a Buyer's Portal with the support of The Cost Reduction Company.

Alongside the company Nigel has also found the time to write a book entitled 'Using Less Stuff!' which aims to help organisations interested in knowing how to motivate staff to be environmentally friendly and to promote personal responsibility amongst staff.
