With effect 4th April 2022, former Cross Country Captain Adam Robinson (G 11-16) is taking over as Secretary for the Old Bradfieldian Running Club.

Outgoing Secretary Tony Henderson (E 79-84) previously took over the mantle of Old Bradfieldian Running Club Secretary from Michael Bostelmann (A 61-66) back in 2011. Despite recent Covid challenges the OB Running Club continues to thrive, winning a podium finish at last year’s Alumni race V60 division and finally winning the Bostelmann Trophy against the school this March. More details about this race and the strong performance of the OB Runners can be found here

Tony Henderson comments: “I am delighted to hand over club in to Adam’s capable hands and look forward to watching it thrive. I have enjoyed the friendship of many in the OB running community over the years but would particularly like to thank Michael for his wisdom and support, Jon Salmon (B 73-78) for wonderful write-ups, companionship and running fun and Ed Talbot (E 82-87) for always turning up no matter what marathon or triathlon he had completed the day before. I would also like to thank Karen Ward for her endless patience and support especially in getting the Bostelmann event up and running and getting us OB running vests, Chris Best for nurturing such a talented College XC team as well as Al MacEwen for boundless energy and enthusiasm.”

New Secretary, Adam Robinson, is well placed to lead the OB Running Club, having represented the College in various XC events and Track meets, enjoying stiff competition from a number of his peers, including Jamie Dellimore (A 10-15), Toby Watkins (A 11-16), and Ben Newall (E 11-16). Adam also enjoyed XC success on College grounds, winning the House Steeplechase on two consecutive occasions.

Taking on this new role, Adam comments: "Having served as the College's Captain of XC in 2014-15, I feel incredibly privileged and excited to receive the baton for the position of OB Running Club Secretary from the capable hands of Tony. I have a deep affinity for running and for the College in equal measure - I look forward to ensuring that the OB Running Club continues to be a welcoming and inclusive place for runners of all distinctions."
