In less than a months’ time, Bradfieldian Henry Eastick (F 12-17) will be competing in the World’s Toughest Row. This year’s race will see 44 crews row 3000 miles unsupported across the Atlantic from La Gomera in the Canary Islands to Antigua. He is in a two-man team comprising of Henry and crew mate Ben, known as the Ocean Oarsmen.
Henry said "In addition to the challenge of rowing 3000 miles, we’ll be raising money and awareness for the Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice. They’re heavily relied upon as the only Children’s Hospice in Berkshire but also serve neighbouring counties.
We’re somewhat busy currently as we depart the UK on the 29th November for a race start on the 12th of December but would be keen to visit on our return and share our experience if that was of interest? In the meantime, we’ll be posting regular updates at sea to be shared by supporters and sponsors."
