The College was pleased to welcome back Hugh Murphy (C 56-61) and his wife Virginia last week. Hugh was visiting from the USA and had crossed the Atlantic on the Queen Mary 2.
A former Head of Army House, Hugh was happy to see the renovated Army House lobby and Common Room, as well as the final stages of the Army House reroofing project, which wil be complete in November. He also saw the new St Andrew's Study Centre and the 175 Timeline down Bloods Corridor, before finishing the tour in the College Chapel.
Hugh fondly remembered his old Housemaster, Rev John Swinbank, and was pleased to hear that the Swinbank Society is still thriving at Bradfield today, providing an informal forum for those wishing to investigate and discuss the Christian Faith. He also shared memories of his history teacher, John Moulsdale - we recently wrote an article about his time at the College here
If you would like to visit Bradfield, please feel free to contact the Bradfield Society Office, or join us at our Tempus Fugit Lunch on the 30th October
